Endovascular procedures
Endovascular procedures or a vascular intervention generally address a constriction (due to a stenosis or a thrombosis) or a dilatation (aneurysm) of a vessel from within the vessel instead of by invasive surgery. Endovascular approaches are also of relevance for implantable medical devices such as pacemakers which contain leads that are placed via a vein to its active position within the heart - endocardially. Through our system Mentice VIST™ you will be able to practice on carotid, coronary, EP lead placement, iliac/SFA, neuro, renal, transseptal puncture and vena cava procedures.

Minimally invasive procedures
Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is accomplished through using specialized techniques, miniature cameras with microscopes, tiny fiber-optic flashlights and high definition monitors. MIS has become the standard of care for many procedures and is widely accepted in nearly all medical specialties, often replacing traditional, open surgery. Through our system Mentice MIST™ you can practice basic skills, atrial fibrillation, arthroscopy for shoulder as well as nephrectomy procedures.
